Project Request Form
Customize the Project Request Form to match your workflow and capture the information you need when creating new projects.
Overview
The Project Request Form is the form users complete when creating a new project in Readybuild. This powerful form can create multiple records simultaneously:
- Contact - New customer information
- House - Property/job site address
- Project - The project record itself
- Activity - An initial appointment or follow-up task
This eliminates the need to create each record separately, streamlining the intake process for new leads and projects.
Each section of the form can be customized to:
- Add or remove fields
- Reorder fields within sections
- Change field widths for desktop and mobile views
- Mark fields as required or optional

Best Practices
Keep It Simple
- Only show fields that are needed when creating a project
- Additional information can be added after the project is created
- Too many fields can slow down the project creation process
Use Logical Groupings
- Keep related fields together in the same section
- Order fields in the sequence users naturally think about them
Consider Required Fields Carefully
- Only mark fields as required if they're truly essential
- Too many required fields can create friction
Optimize for Mobile
- Consider how the form appears on tablets and phones
- Use appropriate widths for mobile users in the field
Test Changes
- After customizing the form, create a test project to verify the layout
- Check both desktop and mobile views
Resetting to Default
If you want to restore the default form layout:
- Contact your Readybuild administrator
- They can reset form configurations to system defaults
Resetting form configurations will remove all customizations. This action cannot be undone.
