Understanding Project Types

What are Project Types?

Project types are specific categories of work that can be assigned to projects. A single project can have multiple types with percentage allocations:

  • Kitchen Remodel: 60%
  • Bath Remodel: 40%

Revenue Allocation

When a project has multiple types, revenue is allocated proportionally:

  • $100,000 project with 60% Kitchen = $60,000 to Kitchen
  • This ensures accurate category-level reporting
