Labor Rates

Configure billing and cost rates for your team members.

Overview

Labor Rates allow you to define hourly rates for different team members or roles. These rates are used when calculating labor costs in estimates and tracking actual labor expenses on projects.

Accessing This Setting

  1. Go to Settings > My Company > Labor Rates

Configuration Options

Rate Types

  • Cost Rate - What you pay (internal cost)
  • Billing Rate - What you charge clients

Rate Assignment

  • Assign rates by individual user
  • Assign rates by role or department
  • Set default rates for new team members

Rate History

  • Track rate changes over time
  • Effective dates for rate changes

Using Labor Rates

Labor rates are applied when:

  • Creating estimates with labor components
  • Tracking time on projects
  • Generating job cost reports
  • Calculating project profitability
