Organize your team into functional departments.

Overview

Departments help you organize your team members into logical groups based on their function within your company. This organization is used for filtering, reporting, and assigning work.

Accessing This Setting

  1. Go to Settings > My Company > Departments

Configuration Options

Creating Departments

  • Department Name - Display name for the department
  • Description - Optional description of the department's function
  • Active Status - Enable or disable departments

Common Departments

  • Sales
  • Design
  • Production
  • Administration
  • Accounting

Using Departments

Departments are used for:

  • Filtering team members in lists and reports
  • Assigning activities by department
  • Department-based reporting
  • Organizing the calendar view
