Best Practices
What to Attach
- Application forms - Original permit applications submitted to municipalities
- Approval letters - Official approval or denial documents
- Plans and drawings - Submitted architectural or engineering plans
- Correspondence - Important emails or letters about the permit
- Receipts - Payment receipts for permit fees
File Organization Tips
- Name files clearly - Use descriptive names like "Building_Permit_Application_123.pdf"
- One file per upload - Permits accept one file at a time, so combine documents if needed
- Update after approval - Replace application documents with final approved versions
- Keep originals - Store critical permit documents in your project's main files folder as backup
