Best Practices for Creating Options

  • Provide variety - Offer options at different price points
  • Good/Better/Best - Include budget, mid-range, and premium choices
  • Use images - Visual options improve customer decisions
  • Complete information - Include specs, dimensions, care instructions

Pricing Considerations

  • Update regularly - Keep catalog pricing current
  • Include installation - Factor in installation costs, not just materials
  • Consider lead times - Some selections require longer ordering time

Editing Work Scopes from Selections

When editing an assembly on the Selections page, the Install Scope and Demo Scope fields are available directly in the edit panel — the same fields you see when editing on the Estimate page. This lets designers update work scope descriptions while reviewing selections, without switching back to the estimate.

See Work Scopes for details on writing effective scope descriptions.
