Lost Projects Graph
The Lost Projects Graph shows how many projects you lost each month and how much they were worth. Use it to spot months where losses spiked and to open the projects behind them.

Reading the Chart
- Each month in the date range has a bar for the predicted budget of the projects lost that month, read on the left axis.
- The line shows the number of projects lost that month, read on the right axis.
- Months with no losses show as zero rather than being skipped.
- When the date range covers more than one calendar year, each month is labelled with its year, so January of two different years stays separate.
Point at a month to see both figures.
What's Included
A project counts when it is in a Lost stage and its actual close date falls in the date range. Deleted projects, projects on a deleted contact, and projects marked as a non-sale are left out. A lost project with no salesperson assigned still counts.
Viewing the Projects Behind a Month
Click a month's bar, or the month's name in the table under the chart, to open the lost projects for that month. The list shows each project's ID, client, title, salesperson, close date, and predicted budget, with a total at the bottom. Its count always matches the month's figure on the chart. Projects with no salesperson show Unassigned.
Click a column heading to sort the list, or a project ID to open the project. Click Export CSV in the dialog to download the list.
Monthly Totals
Under the chart, a table lists each month's lost projects and predicted budget, with a TOTAL row for the whole date range.
Available Filters
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| Closed From / to | The projects' actual close dates. Defaults to January 1 through today. |
| Division / Function / Work Type | Limit the divisions shown. Function defaults to Operational and Work Type to Full Project. |
The filters are kept in the page address, so you can bookmark a filtered view.
The Division, Function, and Work Type filters appear only for companies that classify their divisions (using more than one function or work type). See Divisions for how these classifications are configured.
The three filters are combined: a project is included only when it matches every filter at once. For example, selecting the Handyman (Internal) and Design Build (Operational) divisions together with the Internal function shows Handyman only — it is the sole division that satisfies both.
Leaving a filter blank places no restriction on that dimension, so it reads as "All". Selecting Internal for Function with Division and Work Type blank gives the entire Internal compartment.
This report now uses the same division scope as the other Sales reports. By default it shows only Operational, Full Project divisions, so lost service work (such as T&M or SAM divisions) no longer counts unless you select it. Companies with only full-project divisions see the same figures as before.
The report also takes any date range instead of a single year, and the project list behind a month now includes lost projects with no salesperson. Before, that list left them out and could show fewer projects than the chart.
