What the Report Counts
A lead is a project (of the kind Project) created in the year. Deleted projects are left out. Every lead counts whatever stage it reached, and non-sale projects count too: a lead is a lead even if it later turned out not to be a sale.
Weeks run Sunday to Saturday. Days before the year's first Sunday make up week 0, so the first week is often labelled with a late-December date. Each week is labelled with its Sunday, as month/day.
The Charts
The page shows three charts, each across the weeks of the year:
- Leads by Week — the solid Leads line is each week's leads. The dashed Avg. Lead line is the running average: leads so far divided by weeks so far.
- Leads Per Week By Division — one line per division, each week's leads in that division. For any week, the division lines add up to that week's leads on the first chart.
- Average Leads Per Week By Division — each division's running average.
Only weeks with leads appear. Point at a chart to read each line's value for that week. Click a name in a chart's legend to hide that line, then click it again to bring it back.
Comparing Two Years
Choose a year in Compare to to add that year's Leads and Avg. Lead lines to the first chart, in a second colour. The two years line up by week number, so week 10 of one year sits over week 10 of the other.
A week only one of the years had leads in shows that year's value and leaves a gap in the other's line. Each year's running average counts only that year's own weeks.
Choose None to remove the comparison.
Filters
- Year — the year to report. Defaults to this year. It lists only the years your company has leads in.
- Compare to — a second year to lay over the first chart, or None.
- Division, Function and Work Type — shown when your company uses more than one function or work type.
Your filter choices are kept in the page address, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view.
The comparison year used to be plotted point by point rather than week by week, so whenever either year skipped a week, every later comparison point sat under the wrong week. The two years now line up by week number. Choosing the blank comparison option used to compare with last year anyway; None now turns the comparison off. The year lists used to start at 2010 for every company and now list only your company's years.
