Lead Count Report

Filtered Data

This report is filtered based on your division settings:

  • Function: Operational
  • Work Type: Full Project, Service

The Lead Count report shows how many leads each source or campaign brought in over a date range, which stage those leads are in now, how many you closed, and what the wins sold for. Use it to see which sources and campaigns produce leads that turn into sales.

Accessing the Report

Reports > Marketing > Lead Count

Which Leads Are Counted

A lead is a project created in the date range, in any stage. Deleted projects, projects on deleted contacts, and projects marked as non-sale are left out.

Every enabled source or campaign is listed, including those with no leads in the range. A disabled source or campaign is listed only when it has leads in the range, and is tagged Disabled.

Report Types

The Type filter picks what each lead is counted against:

TypeEach lead is counted under
SourceIts source
Secondary SourceIts secondary source
Primary + Secondary SourceIts source and its secondary source
CampaignIts campaign
Secondary CampaignIts secondary campaign
Primary + Secondary CampaignIts campaign and its secondary campaign

The type names follow your company's labels for these fields.

In the Primary + Secondary types, a lead whose source and secondary source differ appears in both rows. When both fields hold the same source, it appears in that row once.

Report Columns

ColumnDescription
NameThe source or campaign (the heading follows the selected type)
One column per stageLeads from this source now in that stage. Stages appear in your pipeline order
TotalAll leads from this source
Closing %Leads in a Won stage ÷ leads that are no longer in an Open stage
Make UpThis source's share of the company's leads
Sold AmountSold amount of this source's leads in a Won stage

Click any column heading to sort by it. The report opens sorted by name.

Total Company Row

The Total Company row counts each lead once. In the Primary + Secondary types a lead can appear in two rows, so the stage counts, Total and Sold Amount in the Total Company row can be lower than the sum of the rows above it, and the Make Up column can add up to more than 100%.

Available Filters

FilterDescription
Created From / ToThe project created-date range. Defaults to January 1 through today. Presets pick common ranges
TypeWhat leads are counted against (see Report Types)
DivisionOnly leads in this division. Shown when your company does not use the Division / Function / Work Type filters
Division / Function / Work TypeShown instead of the single Division filter when your company uses them. See the data scope note at the top of this page

Filters are kept in the page address, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view. While new figures load, a progress bar runs across the top of the table and the previous figures are dimmed.

Drill-Down

Click any number that is not zero to see the leads behind it:

  • A stage count — that source's leads in that stage
  • The name or Total — all of that source's leads
  • A Total Company stage count — every lead in that stage, each listed once
  • The Total Company Total — every lead in the report, each listed once

The list uses exactly the same filters as the report, so its count and totals always match the number you clicked.

ColumnDescription
Project IDClick to open the project
ClientClient name
StageThe project's current stage
Predicted BudgetThe project's predicted budget
Sold AmountThe project's sold amount. $0.00 unless the project is in a Won stage

The footer totals cover every matching lead. A very wide date range can hold more leads than the dialog shows; the dialog then says how many it is showing out of the total.

Export Options

Click Export CSV to download the table as shown — same sort order — with the Total Company row. The button is unavailable while the report is loading.
