Toolbar & Controls

The Gantt chart toolbar provides quick access to common actions and navigation controls.

Create Task

Click the green Create button to add a new task at the end of the schedule. The task editor opens automatically for you to enter details.

Undo/Redo

Track and reverse changes during your editing session:

The undo/redo history tracks all changes during your editing session. History is cleared when you close the Gantt chart.

Expand/Collapse

Manage task hierarchy visibility:

↓↓Expand all - Show all nested subtasks
↑↑Collapse all - Hide subtasks, show only top-level tasks

Zoom Controls

Change the timeline scale to see more or less detail:

Zoom Levels

The timeline automatically expands when tasks extend beyond the visible range.

Filter Tasks

Use the search box to filter tasks by name:

  1. Type in the filter field
  2. Only matching tasks are displayed
  3. Clear the field to show all tasks

Filtering is case-insensitive and matches partial names.

Baseline Controls

Manage schedule baselines for tracking changes over time:

Set Baseline

Click Set baseline and choose:

  • Set Baseline 1 - Save current dates as baseline 1
  • Set Baseline 2 - Save current dates as baseline 2
  • Set Baseline 3 - Save current dates as baseline 3

Show Baseline

Click Show baseline and check/uncheck:

  • Baseline 1 - Toggle baseline 1 visibility
  • Baseline 2 - Toggle baseline 2 visibility
  • Baseline 3 - Toggle baseline 3 visibility

Fullscreen Mode

For an expanded editing experience:

  1. Click the Fullscreen button (expand icon)
  2. The Gantt chart opens in a new window
  3. Full toolbar and editing capabilities available
  4. Close the window to return

Fullscreen mode is useful for:

  • Presentations
  • Detailed planning sessions
  • Working on smaller screens

Keyboard Alternatives

Most toolbar actions have keyboard shortcuts:
