Keyboard Shortcuts
The Gantt chart supports comprehensive keyboard navigation for efficient task management without using the mouse.
General Shortcuts
These shortcuts work anywhere in the Gantt chart:

Task Navigation
Move between tasks and cells in the grid:

Tree (Hierarchy) Navigation
Control the visibility and structure of parent/child tasks:

| Shift + Arrow Right | Expand parent task (show children) |
| Shift + Arrow Left | Collapse parent task (hide children) |
Indent and Outdent
Change the indentation level of tasks to create hierarchy:

| Alt + Shift + Arrow Right | Indent task (make it a child of the task above) |
| Alt + Shift + Arrow Left | Outdent task (move it up one level in hierarchy) |
How Indent Works
When you press Alt + Shift + Arrow Right:
- The task becomes a child of the task directly above it
- The parent task automatically expands
- The task appears nested under its new parent
How Outdent Works
When you press Alt + Shift + Arrow Left:
- The task moves to the same level as its current parent
- It's positioned directly after its former parent
- Any siblings remain under the original parent
Inline Editing
When editing a cell:

Getting Started
- Click anywhere in the Gantt chart to give it focus
- Use Arrow Up/Down to move between tasks
- Use Arrow Left/Right to move between columns
- Press Enter or F2 to edit the current cell inline
- Double-click a task bar to open the full task editor dialog
Efficient Workflows
Inline cell editing:
- Navigate to the cell you want to edit
- Press Enter or F2 to start editing
- Make your changes
- Press Enter to save and move to next row, or Escape to cancel
Task editor dialog:
- Double-click a task bar in the timeline to open the full task editor
- Make changes across the General, Resources, or Advanced tabs
- Press Save or Escape to cancel
Reorganizing task hierarchy:
- Navigate to the task you want to move
- Use Alt + Shift + Arrow Right to indent (make child)
- Use Alt + Shift + Arrow Left to outdent (move up level)
Expanding/collapsing tasks:
- Navigate to a parent task (one with children)
- Press Space to toggle expand/collapse
- Or use Shift + Arrow Right to expand, Shift + Arrow Left to collapse
