Access Readybuild from any computer or mobile device using a web browser.

Overview

Readybuild is a web-based application that works on any device with an internet connection and a modern web browser. There's no software to install - simply open your browser and log in.

Desktop/Laptop Access

Supported Browsers

Readybuild works best with these browsers:

  • Google Chrome (recommended)
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
Recommendation

We recommend using Google Chrome for the best experience. Keep your browser updated to the latest version.

Accessing Readybuild

  1. Open your web browser
  2. Navigate to your company's Readybuild URL (provided by your administrator)
  3. Enter your email and password
  4. Click Log In

Creating a Desktop Shortcut

For quick access, create a shortcut on your desktop:

Windows (Chrome)

  1. Navigate to your Readybuild login page
  2. Click the three-dot menu in Chrome (top right)
  3. Select More tools > Create shortcut
  4. Check "Open as window" for an app-like experience
  5. Click Create

Mac (Chrome)

  1. Navigate to your Readybuild login page
  2. Click the three-dot menu in Chrome
  3. Select More tools > Create shortcut
  4. The shortcut will appear in your Applications folder

Windows (Edge)

  1. Navigate to your Readybuild login page
  2. Click the three-dot menu in Edge
  3. Select Apps > Install this site as an app
  4. Name the app and click Install

Mobile Device Access

Installing as a Mobile App (PWA)

Readybuild can be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on your phone or tablet for quick access.

iPhone/iPad (Safari)

  1. Open Safari and navigate to your Readybuild URL
  2. Tap the Share button (square with arrow pointing up)
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
  4. Name the app "Readybuild" and tap Add
  5. The Readybuild icon will appear on your home screen

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome and navigate to your Readybuild URL
  2. Tap the three-dot menu (top right)
  3. Select Add to Home screen or Install app
  4. Name the app and tap Add
  5. The Readybuild icon will appear on your home screen

Mobile Browser Access

If you prefer not to install the app, you can always access Readybuild directly through your mobile browser:

  1. Open Chrome (Android) or Safari (iOS)
  2. Navigate to your company's Readybuild URL
  3. Log in with your credentials
  4. Bookmark the page for easy access

Readybuild's mobile interface is optimized for:

  • Project viewing and updates

Screen Size

While Readybuild is fully functional on mobile devices, some complex features like estimates and reports work better on larger screens.

Tablet Access

Tablets provide an excellent Readybuild experience, offering the portability of mobile with a larger screen.

  • iPad (any model)
  • Android tablets (10" or larger recommended)
  • Microsoft Surface tablets

Tablet Setup

Follow the same PWA installation steps as mobile devices for quick access:

  1. Open your browser and navigate to Readybuild
  2. Use the browser's "Add to Home Screen" option
  3. Access Readybuild with a single tap

Troubleshooting

Can't Access Readybuild

  1. Check your internet connection - Try loading another website
  2. Clear browser cache - Old cached data can cause issues
  3. Try a different browser - Rule out browser-specific problems
  4. Check your URL - Ensure you're using the correct company URL
  5. Contact your administrator - Your account may need attention

Mobile App Not Saving to Home Screen

  • iPhone: Make sure you're using Safari (other browsers don't support this feature on iOS)
  • Android: Try clearing Chrome's cache and data

Slow Performance

  1. Close unused tabs - Too many open tabs can slow performance
  2. Update your browser - Older versions may have performance issues
  3. Check your internet speed - Run a speed test
  4. Clear browser cache - Accumulated cache can slow things down

Session Expiring

If you're being logged out frequently:

  1. Ensure cookies are enabled in your browser
  2. Don't use incognito/private browsing mode
  3. Check that your browser isn't blocking third-party cookies

Security Best Practices

On Personal Devices

  • Use a strong, unique password
  • Enable two-factor authentication if available
  • Log out when finished
  • Don't save passwords on shared devices

On Public Computers

  • Never save your password
  • Always log out when done
  • Clear browser history after use
  • Avoid accessing sensitive information on public networks

On Mobile Devices

  • Use a device passcode or biometric lock
  • Keep your device's operating system updated
  • Don't access Readybuild on jailbroken/rooted devices
