External Leads
Import leads from external sources and third-party platforms.
Overview
Readybuild can receive leads from various external sources:
- Website contact forms
- Lead generation services
- Marketing platforms
- Third-party integrations
Viewing External Leads
- Navigate to Contacts
- Click External Leads tab
- View incoming leads awaiting processing
Processing External Leads
When a new external lead arrives:
- Review the lead information
- Click Convert to Contact to create a contact record
- Or click Reject if the lead is not valid
Converting a Lead
- Click Convert to Contact
- Review and edit the imported information:
- Name
- Phone
- Address
- Notes/message
- Assign a source and/or campaign
- Click Create Contact
The lead becomes a regular contact and can be assigned to projects.
Duplicate Detection
Readybuild checks for existing contacts when converting:
- If a match is found by email or phone, you'll be prompted to merge or create new
- Review carefully to avoid duplicate records
Lead Sources
External leads come from:
- Web Forms - Your website contact/quote forms
- Integration Partners - Third-party lead services
- API Imports - Custom integrations

- Process leads promptly - speed matters for conversion
- Verify contact information before converting
- Assign appropriate source for accurate tracking
- Add notes about lead quality or special requests
