Project Card Fields

Customize the information displayed on project cards within your Project Boards to show the data most relevant to your team.

Overview

Within each Project Board (Sales, Design, Production), projects are displayed as cards in columns representing stages. The fields shown on these project cards can be customized to display information relevant to each board and your business needs.

Accessing Card Field Settings

To customize the Project Card Fields:

  1. Navigate to the Project Board you want to customize (Sales, Design, or Production)
  2. Click the Configure Board button at the bottom-right of the screen
  3. Click on the Fields tab

Available Options

Show Project Address

The most common option is Show Project Address, which displays the project's address at the top of each project card. This helps quickly identify projects by location.

Toggle this option on or off based on your preference.

Field List

Below the address option, you'll see a list of all available fields that can be displayed on project cards. Each field has a toggle to enable or disable its display.

Configuring Fields

Enabling a Field

  1. Find the field in the list
  2. Click the toggle to turn it ON (toggle will be highlighted)
  3. The field will now appear on all project cards for that board

Disabling a Field

  1. Find the field in the list
  2. Click the toggle to turn it OFF (toggle will be grayed out)
  3. The field will no longer appear on project cards

Board-Specific Configuration

Each board (Sales, Design, Production) has its own field configuration. This allows you to show different information based on the context:

Sales Board Recommendations

  • Contact Name
  • Phone Number
  • Predicted Close Date
  • Sold Amount (or Predicted Budget)
  • Sales Person

Design Board Recommendations

  • Contact Name
  • Designer
  • Project Type
  • Division

Production Board Recommendations

  • Project Address
  • Project Manager
  • Lead Carpenter
  • Start Date
  • Completion Date

Custom Fields on Cards

If your company has created custom fields (in Settings > Form Fields), these can also be displayed on project cards:

  1. When creating or editing a custom field, enable Show on Board
  2. The field will then appear in the card field configuration list
  3. Enable it for the boards where you want it displayed

Best Practices

Keep Cards Scannable

  • Limit displayed fields to 4-6 items
  • Show only the most important information
  • Too many fields make cards cluttered and hard to read

Consider Your Workflow

  • Sales boards: Focus on contact info and deal value
  • Design boards: Focus on team assignments and project type
  • Production boards: Focus on dates and field assignments

Use Address Strategically

  • Enable "Show Project Address" if your team identifies projects by location
  • Disable it if project titles are more meaningful to your team

Review Regularly

  • As your processes evolve, revisit card configurations
  • Add or remove fields based on team feedback

Viewing Changes

After configuring fields:

  1. Close the configuration panel
  2. Project cards will immediately reflect your changes
  3. All users viewing that board will see the updated card layout

Per-User vs. Company-Wide Settings

Card field configurations are company-wide settings. When an administrator changes the displayed fields:

  • All users see the same fields on project cards
  • Changes take effect immediately for everyone
  • Individual users cannot customize their own view
