Images and Files

Required Permission
Manage Catalog - You must have the Manage Catalog permission to access this setting.

Upload and manage product images, documents, and links for catalog items.

Images, documents, and links are managed inside the edit panel. Open a catalog item from the list to access these sections below the form fields. For new items, save the item first — the media sections appear after the initial save.

Images

Uploading Images

  1. Open a catalog item from the list
  2. Scroll to the images section in the edit panel
  3. Click Upload Image or drag files into the upload area
  4. Multiple images supported
  5. Reorder by dragging
  6. First image is the thumbnail shown in the list view

Supported Formats

  • JPG/JPEG
  • PNG
  • GIF

Image from URL

Import images from the web:

  1. Click Import from URL
  2. Paste image URL
  3. Image downloads and attaches

Image Best Practices

  • Use high-quality product photos
  • Show the product clearly
  • Include multiple angles
  • First image should be best representation
  • Consistent image sizes across catalog

Documents

Attaching Documents

Upload specification documents from within the edit panel:

  1. Open a catalog item from the list
  2. Scroll to the documents section below the images
  3. Upload files such as:
    • PDF spec sheets
    • Installation guides
    • Warranty information
    • Care and maintenance guides

Managing Documents

  • Drag to reorder documents
  • Click to edit name or description
  • Click the download icon to open the file
  • Delete removes the document from the item

Add external URLs to catalog items from within the edit panel:

  1. Open a catalog item from the list
  2. Scroll to the attachments section
  3. Click Add Link
  4. Enter URL and a custom link name
  5. Save
  • Manufacturer product pages
  • Online catalogs
  • Video demonstrations
  • Installation videos
  • Technical documentation
  • Drag to reorder alongside documents
  • Click to edit URL or name
  • Delete removes the link from the item

Bulk Operations

Export

Export catalog for backup or transfer:

  1. Click Export
  2. Download CSV file
  3. Contains all item data

Note: Images and documents are not included in CSV export; only URLs are exported.

Troubleshooting

Images Not Uploading

Verify:

  • File format is supported (JPG, PNG, GIF)
  • File size is within limits
  • Browser allows file uploads

Image from URL Not Working

Check that:

  • URL is publicly accessible
  • URL points directly to image file
  • Image format is supported
