Estimate Templates
Estimate templates are reusable sets of assemblies for common areas, such as a standard kitchen or bathroom. Estimators add them to an estimate instead of building each area from scratch.
Accessing Templates
- Go to Settings > Estimating
- Click Estimate Templates
The Status column shows whether each template is Enabled or Disabled.
Each row has a ⋮ menu with Duplicate Template, Manage Template, Edit Template, Disable Template (or Enable Template), and Delete Template.
Filtering by Status
By default the list shows enabled templates only. To see disabled templates:
- Click the filter button above the list
- Under Status, choose Disabled (disabled templates only) or All (every template)
The filter button shows a dot while a filter other than the default is applied. Choose Enabled to go back to the default.
Disabling a Template
Disable a template to take it out of use without deleting it. This is useful for outdated or seasonal templates you may want again later.
- Click ⋮ on the template's row
- Click Disable Template
Its Status changes to Disabled, and it drops out of the list while the Status filter is Enabled. Set the filter to Disabled or All to find it again. You can still open, edit, manage, duplicate, or delete it, and its page shows a Disabled label next to the name.
While a template is disabled:
- It can't be added to an estimate — it no longer appears in the Add Templates dialog, the Add Area template picker, or the client view's Add Assemblies From Templates dialog, on new or existing estimates
- Existing estimates don't change — areas and assemblies already added from the template stay exactly as they are, with the same totals
- Copies stay disabled — duplicating a disabled template creates a disabled copy
Enabling a Template
- Set the Status filter to Disabled or All
- Click ⋮ on the disabled template's row
- Click Enable Template
The template is available to add to estimates again right away.
Disable a template instead of deleting it when you might need it later. Deleting removes the template and its assemblies from the list.
